Please join us at one of our fundraising events!  Each event that we host raises monies that are vital for our daily operations at our domestic animal shelter, farm facility and wildlife rehabilitation center. Our events are diverse, interesting, exciting, educational…and FUN!

We would like to also offer you the opportunity to become a valuable sponsor of one or more of our special events in 2018. Becoming a sponsor of a Whatcom Humane Society event not only gives you and your company great public relations and advertising opportunity, it brings you into the WHS family of supporters who will make it possible for us to provide care for over 4,000 animals this year.  Click here for more information on 2018 sponsorship opportunities!

We hope that you will join us for one or more of our exciting events as an attendee or a sponsor – or both!

Of Dogs and Wolves: An American Obsession

February 24 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

In modern times, through pop culture and clever marketing, the line between our household pet and the untamed wild animal is becoming all the more blurred. What is a fact and what is fiction? During this seminar, presented by Michael Nichols, CPDTA-KA and the brains behind The Dog Guy, we will delve into evolutionary science and the modern day connection between dogs and wolves.

We will cover topics such as:
Which type of wolf are dogs most closely related to
How diet and evolution affect social structure
What modern studies of dogs and wolves tell us about a dog’s behavior
And so much more!

This class is FREE but seating is limited. Registration is required. To reserve your seat, register here!
